Cherry Blossom
A red bud was about to bloom, a magnolia, weeping cherry and Moongate garden.
In front of the Smithsonian castle.
A moon gate at the Moongate garden covered by magnolias in full bloom.
The reflection pool next to the Korean War Memorial. People walked around the pool to reflect memory.
Some Indians walked under the arch of trees. People from all over the world came to view the cherry blossom also to attend the festival. I spoke to some people who came from India and met some people who came from New Jersey.
Surprised to see a kid climbing up the tree however he did not plug flowers. Perhaps he just tried to pose for a dramatic photo.
The weekends April 4 and 5th, 2009 I went to Washington DC to see Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival or Sakura Matsuri. The place were packed with people. The cherry blossom was at the peak. Most of cherries are white and pale pink. Althought slightly cold, we were blessed with clear blue sky and full sun. Too much sun and I did not adjust my camera well so most of photos were too white. We parked in a garage near the festival and walked over. Normally it would cost around 13 dollars for Saturday or Sunday, but we had to pay 18 dollars each day the weekends.

I have three cherry trees blooming in the back yard. I want a magnolia but would have to dig at least one Japanese Lace Leaf to have room. This is beautiful. My neighborhood abounds with cherry trees. Judi
*This* is why I love springtime.
I laughed so hard at the Twilight series. So dumb make me just belly laugh. So it was worth reading just for that reason. LOL, Judi
