You know, I never do these things, but it’s sunday afternoon, and I need a break, so what the hell

1. What time did you get up this morning?
       Early. 11 AM.
2. Diamonds or pearls?
       Neither. Jade, if I have to pick.
3. What was the last film you saw at the cinema?
       Star Wars, sadly.
4. What is your favorite TV show?
       I don’t own a TV. But when I used to.. I think “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart”
5. What did you have for breakfast?
       Pancakes. It’s Sunday!
6. What is your middle name?
       Ahh, that’s a secret. Legally, I’ve let it disappear because I didn’t like it.
7. Favorite cuisine?
       Thai.    Real, spicy, Mexican comes in a close second.
8. What foods do you dislike?
       Baby octopus. Most meat/fish now as well, since I’ve been vegetarian for so long.
9. What is your favorite chip flavor?
       ?? Hmm. I have no idea. When I was a kid, I liked barbecue.
10. What is your favorite CD at the moment?
       Maybe Fiona Apple’s “Extraordinary Machine”, or Saul Williams’ Self-titled CD, or Toad the Wet Sprocket’s “Coil”.
11. What kind of car do you drive?
       Acura RSX
12. Favorite sandwich?
       Some veggie thing. I recall a veggie everything sub from subway being quite good.
13. What characteristic do you despise?
       Apathy.
14. Favorite item of clothing?
       My ‘travel anywhere’ shorts/pants. I spent a month and a half in Peru with just those pants and two shirts.
15. If you could go anywhere in the world on vacation, where would you go?
       Colorado Aspen forests, Tibet, Japan, or Wales.
16. What color is your bathroom?
       Depends where you’re looking. My stuff is bamboo green and tan. The walls are pasty ugly white.

       Don’t have one.
18. Where would you retire to?
       I probably won’t retire, actually, so no clue.
19. What is your favorite time of the day?
       2 AM, when the world has gone to sleep, and it’s just me, the wind, and a muse.
20. What was your most memorable birthday?
       21st. I was living with my ex, just after we’d broken up after being together three years. Needless to say, there was a lot of arguing, and things were not going well. I was also flown up to San Francisco that day for a meeting. I got back that evening, quite down about my wasted 21st birthday to find my house decorated, streamers across the room, and her waiting with flowers and a birthday cake. Even at the end of my life, when i’ve forgotten almost everything I’ve known, I’ll remember that moment.

       Aurora, Colorado. or Denver, Colorado. The us army and the state of Colorado are still arguing about which one.

       I’ve listened to basketball on the radio, does that count?

Thanks for your comment – I do have a much better online social life then I do in person. I am not sure why i am so much better here. I guess mainly because emotions are not so clearly shown? Apparently one of my main problems is that I am so neutral in expression, that no one knows what I’m feeling or thinking. Its something I’m trying to overcome, but its hard, as I’ve been like this my entire life

2. Diamonds or pearls? diamonds. I have never had one but I like it better than pearls.

On my birthday, my uncle and my cousins were baking a cake for me secrectly. My aunt went out and got another cake (she didn’t know my uncle and cousins were baking), so I had 2 cakes that year. They sang a happy bday song to me, made me close my eyes and made a wish, and blew candles and the best part was they gave me a lot of money that year . My parents don’t do stuff like that for us (my bro and I) we don’t celebrate bdays …I remember it most because it was the very first time I ever had a bday cake

RYC: Bien and I are equally educated. He received a BS degree in International Economics from Hanoi Foreign Trade University. Before he came here, he was working as a salesman for an import/export company. He’s anxious to go back to school so that he can do something in business here. I received a BS in English Education to teach high school English. I’m not using that now, however.
