Someone gave me a harsh criticism of my translation. Just thinking my best was not good enough, or I did not take great care of my doing, I was upset enough to lose my sleep. So I am tired.It is Wednesday already. I realized that as I saw the farmer’s market once again was on. It is already a week since the last time I bought an old lady lunch.
Have a great hump day.

people with the need to tear down other’s works usually aren’t doing anything of value on their own. consider the criticism. is any of it valid? if so, keep that part and throw the rest away! very few people are doing what you’re doing and it would be a great loss if you let one critical person stop you from doing it. without your translations, insights, etc. i would never be exposed to great vietnamese works and music. and i’m sure your translations from english to viet are just as influential. be strong! stand firm! don’t let someone rob you of your joy and passion! even if you aren’t perfect, each time you translate something you get better… so please!!!! don’t be discouraged! think of all of us whom you give great joy and pull out the next piece to start working on!!!!
Don’t let it get to you. Other peoples’ opinions belong to them – not you. hugs
phooey on the stupid critic! don’t let the person get you down!
@becuziluvblue - I agree!
i just don’t want you to give up! that’d be horrible!!!!
that happens… i usually just delete the msgs =P haha
