Ready for work one day and see this moon. Trying to capture it but do not know how to take picture of the moon and have no good support. I place my elbow on my knee.
Another day, different (month) moon, on my driveway before I go to work. The time I take this picture is about the same time of the day that I take the previous picture but the sky is brighter because spring is approaching.
In the train station parking lot same day with the above picture. I am not trying to present to you a piece of art in photography. I just take in things around me to make me aware that I am alive.
Come back from work and see the tree lighted up as the dusk is approaching. It was dark where I stood but sunlight was ablazing on top of the trees. Anyone knows the name of this tree by looking at its bare branches? I guess that it is a Cypress but I am always confused between a Cedar and a Cypress the same way as I am confused of a fir and a spruce.

You have such a wonderful eye for taking photographs. I love them all. What kind of camera do you have?
I always want to tell people that I’m not trying to be artistic too. I just like looking at things and sharing. Beautiful pictures.
Nice snaps, I love the moon..I write about it a lot. Then too sunrise and sunset are the most spiritual times of the day
erm, it just looks like a dry tree to me, chi Wish! =//
I like the 3rd shot of the moon. I remembered a LONG time ago, I was studying and then I realized outside was a full moon, so I ran outside to take a picture of it…took me an hour and I still couldn’t get a good shot. Wasted an hour of studying time…for nothing. LOL
the eaten moon is so nice
why do people feel so uncomfortable about saying they are being artistic, or that what they have done is artistic. i think it is because we have been told how things must be and that it to do something artistic is to have a lofty elevated eye and great skill. it could not be further from the truth. true artistry is around us each day caught in the moon smiling through the branches of a sleeping tree in winter or in the shade of gold captured at sunset. we feel the artistry of the moment and capture it to our best ability which is our heart desire. if that doesn’t make us an artist than absolutely nothing does. lovely photos captured in a very artistic way..-g
Bumblefish is exactly right. I seem to remember thinking that before.
