The weather is getting warmer but today it is raining and snowing for a few hours. Since last week it has been in the low to mid forty. This morning as I sat at my vanity desk I felt the vibration from the fast pecking of a woodpecker from the tree near by outside my window.
I went to a progress meeting about fifteen minutes earlier than the starting time so I could stop by the job site to check up condition of the field when no one was there. While walking around I took a few pictures of the reeds along the tracks. Sometimes in the future when the inspectors start their annual inspection I will ask my boss or the director of the inspection group to let me join them. I think there are many interesting things to see especially wild plants. Everyday when I go to work, sitting on the train I often see patches of reeds. They grow along the tracks and some are 7 ft or 8 ft tall. In the winter they turn pale yellow and look very pretty.
When I was young I often heard about reeds but did not know how it looked until recently.

I’ve never seen a woodpecker yet strangely enough. how are you doing?
Like the looks of the reeds. You make me pay attention to the little wonderful things with your pictures, that I otherwise would have dismissed or not noticed. It must be great to walk around in a job instead of sitting in a square cell all day.
truly it is not in the looking but in the seeing. lovely blog.
