Hurricane Hanna hit us yesterday afternoon. We lost power for about half an hour but it was late at night so it did not really affect much. Heavy rain, flash flood, dark sky, strong wind all of that did not worry me because I was home. The weather made me crave for soup so with a chicken breast and breast bones I cut out the bones to cook a thin soup with califlower. The remaining chicken breast was sauteed with ginger. The soup was a little too bland. I thought this soup needed a little salt. So I used a tea spoon, got a little salt enough to cover the tip of the spoon. Put salt in the broth, stirred and tasted. Still too bland. I did three times then I realized I put in sugar instead of salt. I keep salt and sugar in white canisters. The salt canister is much smaller and on the left side of the right corner of the counter. The sugar canister is next to the salt canister and on the right side. Too often I put salt when I need sugar. This was the only time I used sugar instead of salt. The result was that the soup became too sweet.
After the hurricane is . . . a beautiful day. Cool breeze, fresh air, golden sun, lush green woods, . . .
I am going for a Sunday afternoon nap, to become a Rip Van Winkle for half an hour, may be.

I’m glad you are ok.
it rained a lot last night
Stay safe from the rain / wind … enjoy the post-storm calm.
I put curry powder instead of chilli powder in my taco meat the other day it was alright but not good. Glad nothing too much happen to you because of the hurricane. Judi
