I took a walk and saw a few pleasant things that made me wish I had brought my camera.
Along the riverbank, there is a large flock of brown, fat, and long neck Canadian geese. The summer is not yet over, however, the sign of autumn is seemingly creeping into my daily life. The geese always bring the thought of autumn as I often hear to their cries on top of the colorful trees as they are leaving the cold region for the warmer land.
Near the empty lot where the geese search for food, there is a tall tree that has scattered white, large petal, flowers. A quick glance, I have thought it was the flowers I had seen in Vietnam.
On the sidewalk in front of NJPAC’s café, there is a one-man drum band. The drummer wears a colorful tie-dye T-shirt. He put on music tape and plays a collection of drums. The music is sound like a Caribbean kind, a happy, fast kind music. The music makes you want to dance.
On the lawn in the Washington Park, there is an open market, or also called farmer’s market. A band plays music. I hear a jitterbug, swing song. Some sound jazzy.
The apple tree in front of Newark YMCA on Broad Street is full of fruits. Not ripe yet, they are dangling and swaying green. I imagine of its sour taste and drool.
